ClassicPiano FAQ

Can I advertise if I live outside of the United States? Yes you can. But you, the seller are liable for any Sales Tax or VAT to your applicable Country. We do not collect sales tax for any foreign entity outside the United States.

Is there sales tax in the United States?
No, we do not collect sales tax. We must pay tax on New Mexico transactions only and we will pay that out of pocket ourselves.

How do I pay for an ad? We use PayPal for all of our transactions. You can pay with a PayPal account or use a credit card. We do not accept cashiers checks, personal or business checks.

How can I safely make a transaction? We suggest you use a third party, such as PayPal, Escrow.com or another escrow service if you live far away form the instrument. We cannot authenticate ownership or actual pianos. We highly suggest you buy a piano locally to you, that you can see and play before buying. Many piano movers will perform a "C.O.D" for you as the buyer. This is a fairly safe practice.

What is my piano worth? We get this question a lot. The best thing to do is to have the piano appraised by a competent piano technician. Piano technicians can be found in your local phone book or you can find a technician through the Piano Technicians Guild website. If you live in Albuquerque, NM, we can give you a very good appraisal and tuning for a reasonabe fee. We like to tune the piano as part of an appraisal, since any loose tuning pins will considerably reduce the value of the piano. All tight tuning pins raise the value of the piano.
